About Christine
Christine started her adult life as a Scientist, with a degree in Biochemistry and a PhD in Molecular Biology. She then moved over to Software Engineering, via a graduate scheme at the Royal Bank of Scotland. Christine worked as a Software Engineer for 10 years, using Visual Basic, Java, C++, Perl and several other proprietary languages. During this time, Agile was making a name for itself and Christine had the opportunity to work with teams using DSDM and, later, Extreme Programming (XP).
After taking time out to have two children in 2008 and 2010, Christine’s life was changed immeasurably, and she found her desire to work with technologies had been replaced by a stronger desire to focus on working with people. As a Development Team Lead, when her team started to show a desire to try Scrum, Christine was delighted to take on the role of Scrum Master and support them in bringing in the new way of working to the team.
During her 8 years as a Scrum Master, Christine began to develop her Coaching skills, through formal training with both the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and by using Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP). Using her developing coaching skills with her teams and the individuals in her organisation, Christine learned the power and effectiveness that the coaching process can have.
Christine is an ICF-accredited Associate Coach, a Scrum Alliance Certified Team Coach, an NLP Master Practitioner and is ORSC trained. She is dedicated to coaching organisations, teams and individuals to be the best versions of themselves.
Christine lives in Maidenhead, Berkshire, in the UK, with her husband and two wonderfully special children.
